Big Give 2018

Big Give is back! This year we are adopting Woods Lake Elementary School, which is nearly three times bigger than any school we've ever served in the past. Woods Lake is a Kalamazoo Public School with over 600 students, 85% of whom live at or below the poverty line. On December 7, we will be taking over their school and filling it with fun games, activities, food, and an incredible free shopping experience for every student where they will get to pick out brand new winter coats, boots, gloves, and hats.

Big Give is an amazing opportunity to impact families and educators in our community, and you are not going to want to miss it! We are in need of 400 volunteers to pull of this year's Big Give event, and signups are now open.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The school has NO parking available. All volunteers will select a Radiant Church campus to check-in and park at. From our campuses, all volunteers will be shuttled to the school on buses, and then back again.

Please arrive promptly at 8:00AM for check-in at your selected campus. If you do not arrive on time, you will miss the bus to the school and will NOT be able to volunteer at this year's event. Our shuttle buses will return all volunteers back to their respective campuses by 3:30PM.

Breakfast and coffee will be provided for all volunteers at the Church before being bused to the school.

This year's volunteer T-shirts are white. Please dress accordingly.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. You must be 18 years old to serve.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is NO parking at the school. You must take a shuttle bus from either the Portage or Richland campus in order to serve.

What can I bring into the event?

You can bring a jacket and a personal item such as a purse. Breakfast will be provided at the church and lunch will be provided at the school.

Can I bring my young child with me?

Unfortunately, no children under the age of 18 will be allowed at the school.
